Become a "Thread Play Embroidery Hooper" and join us each month as we explore machine embroidery using different techniques and stabilizers. We hope you'll join us and meet other like-minded people to share ideas and fun!

Quilters and other crafters have inserted words and messages into their projects since the beginning of needlework. In this class, you'll learn a fun method that adds your personality to your design in the form of your own handwriting. The primary skill being taught is machine applique. We will also cover the use of the several interfacings and stabilizers that help us get great results. The method being taught in this class is depicted in the center of the quilt photo, by the word, 'message.' Your piece can be used to make a pillow cover, a wall hanging, or be inserted into a larger quilt project. Know that you will not have a finished product at the end of this class.

Thread Play is excited to offer this new patchwork sampler series! In this 5 session program, students will be introduced to the art and craft of quilt making, from the very basics to the completion of a quilt top comprised of seven different blocks. (We offer further classes to help you acquire the remaining quilt making skills.)
