Introduction to Machine Quilting
In this skill-building class, we will cover all of the steps needed to prepare a quilt top for quilting, including choosing batting, layering and basting. We will then move on to the considerations in choosing quilting designs, what effects different threads can have, and the many choices for transferring your designs to your quilt top. The remainder of the class time is for playing! You will learn about, and have time to practice, the two main methods used to stitch the layers together: Straight Line, using a Walking Foot; and Free Motion work, using a ... Free Motion Foot! (See the Supply List for an idea of all of the free motions feet available.)
